Project: Bankers' Puppet Theatre
The Year: 2007
Type: Promotional Site
Description
The Bankers' Puppet Theatre is a mini-site created in promotion of Capital One's new No Hassle Rewards card. It's a rich-media experience, with the central gag of the piece being that dodgy bankers are trying so hard to convince customers that high interest rates are good thing that they stage an elaborate puppet show.
There are three videos as the core of the site, each one featuring the puppets discussing the virtues of high-interest rates, and such. In each video their screed is interrupted by a nameless handyman who interrupts the bankers' performance to inform customers of Capital One's new card.
What We Did
Hoggworks designed and built all three puppets used in the videos. The larger monster puppet is a live-hands puppet, with the two smaller puppets being rod puppets, both of whom wear multiple outfits throughout the video piece.
